Speakers: Judge Robert Scott, Johnson County District Court; Tricia Bath, Bath and Edmonds;  Chris Brown, Gyllenborg and Brown:  Wayne Olson, Heartland Mediation and the Limited Action Mediation Program.


Program Details:

This CLE will review the Stalking Statute 60-31a01 et seq. and the amendments to it over its 15 year life and how the courts of appeal have interpreted it.  The panel will discuss the challenges experienced in their practices, and Judge Scott will elaborate on the ‘best practices’ in his court room and review recent filings in Division M2.

Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the Stalking Statute, and learn more about rulings and procedures applied in the Johnson County District Court including the addition of mediation to the resolution of these cases.
