Mission - Lawyers Helping the Community
-By promoting - on behalf of the legal profession - good works which
advance our local system of justice, or support children and family related
charities and organizations.
In 1988 leaders of the Johnson County Bar Association started a project to
develop a charitable branch of the Association. Their work led to the
development of the Johnson County Bar Foundation - a 501(c)(3) charity.The
mission of the Foundation is to provide support for legally related
The Foundation started with meetings attended by just a few members, and there are now over 400 members with some 200 becoming Fellows by making a major financial commitment.
There are 24 members on the Foundation's Board of Trustees who represent lawyers in our community. The Foundation has provided
assistance to many children and family related charities and organizations and
has provided an outlet for attorneys who want to give back to the community.
