Thank you to Ryan While, Evans & Mullinix, for his amazing drone footage from our 2017 event!

The 2019  JCBF Golf Tournament being held on Sept. 6, 2019 at the Prairie Highlands Golf Course promises to be another event you won’t want to miss.  Once again, a strong participation is expected from the Johnson County District Court judges.  In recent years, the event has enjoyed having Judges Droege, Foster, Foth, Joyce, McCarthy, Moriarty, Phelan, Sutherland, O’Grady, Vano, Schoenig, Dunn Gyllenborg, Gurney, Cameron, Ryan, Scott, Phelan and Vokins.  Most will be back again this year, and hopefully a few more.  And hopefully, Federal Magistrate Jim O'Hara will join us. Disciplinary Administrator Stan Hazlett is already signed up to attend!

Arleen Schuman, AA to Judge Gurney, is spearheading efforts to ensure strong participation from numerous court staff that will provide beverages and conversation throughout the course. Hors d'oeuvres and festivities will immediately follow the conclusion of play.

If you haven't already signed up, there is still plenty of time to do so!
This year’s tournament promises to be another memorable event.

Please be sure to indicate if you are signing up a team of four, or as a single. The cost is $125.00 per player. That includes a lunch, cart, beverages throughout the day, and hors d'oeuvres afterward.

Sign up early to assure a spot.

This event has sold out a month in advance the past few years!

Mission - Lawyers Helping the Community

-By promoting - on behalf of the legal profession - good works which advance our local system of justice, or support children and family related charities and organizations.

In 1988 leaders of the Johnson County Bar Association started a project to develop a charitable branch of the Association. Their work led to the development of the Johnson County Bar Foundation - a 501(c)(3) charity. The mission of the Foundation is to provide support for legally related charities.

The Foundation started with meetings attended by just a few members, and there are now over 400 members with some 200 becoming Fellows by making a major financial commitment. There are 24 members on the Foundation's Board of Trustees who represent lawyers in our community. The Foundation has provided assistance to many children and family related charities and organizations and has provided an outlet for attorneys who want to give back to the community.
