Attorneys need credible clients –clients who are focused on the best interests of their children rather than the faults and inadequacies of their co-parent.   Clients who can effectively and efficiently communicate and who have reasonable expectations. Clients who are going through a custody battle often lack logic, rational thought and common sense.  Interactions between a client and their attorney, the court system, and other professionals are frequently clouded by bitterness and resentment.  It often seems that no amount of logic, rationality, cajoling or coercion can move a client from his/her “story” to the “business” of co-parenting.  When clients remain stuck no one wins.  Co-Parenting/ Divorce Coaching can help!
Here are some signs that a client could benefit from Co-Parenting/ Divorce Coaching:
 1.  A client refuses to consider other possibilities.
2.  A client refuses to examine any other perspective but their own.
3.  A client is either overly optimistic or pessimistic, and such beliefs defy logic.
4.  A client seeks relief from their highly emotional state and are willing to pay any price for that relief – by sacrificing their best self or risking everything to devastate their co-parent.
5.  A client is so blinded by the past that they have lost sight of what is in the long-term best for their children.
