Help lead the Johnson County Bar Association in 2027.
JCBA members are invited to apply for open officer, Board, trustee, section leadership, and committee positions. Review the opportunities below and consider where your experience and ideas could help strengthen the Association.

Officer Positions
Officers serve on the Board of Directors and help guide the leadership and direction of the Association. Applicants for President Elect and Vice President must have served on the JCBA Board during the 2026 calendar year.

Board Positions
Board members attend monthly meetings, support Association initiatives, and serve as ambassadors for the JCBA.
Serves on the Board of Directors for a two year term ending December 2028.
Serves a one-year term, leads the Membership Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors.
Serves a two-year term, leads JCBA’s DEI efforts, and serves on the Board of Directors.
Serves a two-year term, leads the section and its committees and initiatives, and serves on the Board of Directors.
Johnson County Law Library Trustees
JCBA elects attorney members to serve on the Johnson County Law Library Board of Trustees. These positions are separate from the JCBA Board of Directors.

Section Leadership Positions
Section leaders help plan CLEs, networking opportunities, programs, and other activities. Section leadership positions do not include a JCBA Board seat solely by virtue of serving in the section role.

Application and Selection Process
- Apply by September 15, 2026.
- The Leadership Application Committee will review the applications.
- The proposed slate will be presented to the JCBA Board of Directors.
- Applicants will be notified following the Board’s decision.
Member Eligibility
Applicants must be active members of the Johnson County Bar Association in good standing.
